CONGRESSMAN DANA ROHRABACHER WILL ANNOUNCE THE SPONSORS OF THE 6TH ANNUAL TROMADANCE FILM FESTIVAL DURING THE AMERICAN FILM MARKET ON THURSDAY NOVEMBER 4th, 2004 AT 11:00AM, AT THE LOEWS HOTEL PRESS ROOM
Congressman Dana Rohrabacher representing California’s 46th Congressional district (Orange County), champion of independent art and commerce and senior member of the International Relations Committee will announce the sponsors of the 6th Annual TromaDance Film Festival, held in Park City, UT January 23-27, 2005. In addition, the press conference will unveil the Best of TromaDance Vol. 3 DVD and will be made available for worldwide distribution at this time.
The 6th TromaDance Film Festival is proud to announce this year’s sponsors, which include Coleco Vision Inc., Kodak, Tromapalooza, and many others. Kodak’s generous donation of film stock makes the Kodak/TromaDance Truly Independent Soul Award possible. Last year Giuseppe Andrews (star of Eli Roth’s Cabin Fever) won the award for his film Dribble, and is currently working on the sequel to Trailer Town!
The press conference will also feature the inauguration of the official TromaDance Theme Song by Count Smokula and the TromaDance Players.
TromaDance’s 2005 official selections will be announced on January 13th. As an AFM press exclusive, one of the official selections will be screened.
Inspired by Trey Parker and founded in 2000 by Lloyd Kaufman, TromaDance is the only totally free film festival wholeheartedly devoted to filmmakers and fans. Unlike every other film festival, TromaDance does not charge filmmakers to submit their films. Entrance to all screenings is free and open to the public. Also, there are no VIP reservations or preferential treatment regarding films, panels, or parties of any kind given. The organizers of TromaDance believe films are meant to be seen, especially when it comes to new filmmakers. Art…in all its forms…is for the people!
TromaDance features a range of films made independently, usually without big stars, big money and far removed from the Hollywood studio system. The films which are the official selections of TromaDance have been made with nothing more than passion, courage, integrity, and raw talent.
